The exceptions and limitations are determined by the new <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/HTML\/?uri=CELEX:32019L0790&amp;from=EN\">Directive on copyright and related rights in the Digital Single Market (DSM Directive)<\/a>, which should be implemented into national legal order by June 2021. The legal certainty of researchers and other data miners will depend on the quality of the implementation.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture will be delivered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipi.si\/en\/about-ipi\/dr-maja-bogataj-jancic-ll-m-ll-m\/\">Dr. Maja Bogataj Jan\u010di\u010d, LL.M. (Harvard), LL.M. (Torino)<\/a>, copyright expert and head of the Intellectual Property Institute.<\/p>\n<p>For the webinar, the Institute for Intellectual Property received an NGO Small Grant from the <a href=\"https:\/\/si.usembassy.gov\">US Embassy in Slovenia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The webinar will take place on April 6, 2021 between 14:00 and 15:00.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the webinar, two new exceptions and limitations on copyright for data and text mining, will be presented.
